Contract Review - Kalkaska (apply online)


Northern Michigan manufacturer seeks an experienced individual to support our order entry process. Ability to comprehend engineering and quality specifications and experience communicating with customers preferred.
Established in 1943, Wayne Wire Cloth Products is family owned and has an immediate opening at our facility located in beautiful Kalkaska, Michigan. The area provides individuals and families outstanding quality of life and limitless recreational opportunities. 

Required qualifications:

·        Detailed oriented. 

·       Able to communicate clearly via email and over the phone. 

·       A team player with a sense of urgency to resolve internal and customer issues to avoid holding up orders.

·       Good computer skills.  This position involves creating documents in MS Word, working in MS Excel, MS Outlook and navigating the

         Wayne Wire intranet and Global Shop.

·       Must be able to work effectively with all employees in all departments

·       Must be able to understand and apply customer engineering and quality specifications.

 

Duties involved are:

1.     Manage customer purchase orders (new orders and change orders), received via fax, phone, email, website or regular mail. 

2.     Review purchase orders, and write up sales form; pull folder and review quote; determine WWCPI part number from the customer

        part number.

3.     Check for last time part was manufactured to determine quality assurance requirements (FAIR, PPAP).

4.     Check the quantity ordered, piece price, revision level, specifications relating to revision level.

5.     Verify price quoted to ensure no discrepancies or changes.

6.     Resolve inconsistencies in specification, piece price, quantity, etc., with customer.

7.     Use Global Shop to check for material availability and that there has been no pricing change.

8.       Review Customer information, payment terms, bill to, ship to, etc.  Update buyer information and shipping information as needed in

        Global Shop and on the order form.

9.     Enter customer, purchase order and material data information along with notes onto the sales form and customer PO log.

10.   Forward the PO to the department needed for price updates, revision changes or material availability.

11.   Provide completed sales form to order entry / customer service to enter order and send acknowledgement to the customer. 

         Provide the office file to the production scheduler to determine a delivery date.

12.   Review and respond to customer Terms and Conditions and quality documents.

13.    Provide back-up assistance for creating shop packets for production.

Controller


Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc., an industry leader in the manufacture of custom filtration products for the aerospace, automotive and commercial industries, seeks an experienced Controller to lead all aspects of financial management for a three facility operation.  Must have a thorough knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, financial reporting, treasury, payables and receivable, payroll, customer credit, banking, financial policies, auditing, risk and asset management and standard cost practices.  Key responsibilities will include:

 

·       Complete all aspects of financial reporting and presenting results for two Michigan facilities, and one Mexican facility.

·        Processing of Mexican exchange rates and banking operations.

·       Monitors and confirms financial condition; represents company with and responds to external auditors.

·       Monthly closings, annual reporting, cash management, and preparation of tax statements.

·        Lead and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.

·        Protects operations through honest reporting, keeping financial information confidential.

·        Prepare special reports as needed.

·        Develop staff through effective coaching and performance management.

 

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA or CPA preferred.

 

Qualifications:

Requires 7 to 10 years of senior accounting experiences with a small/medium sized manufacturer.  Public Accounting experience preferred.

·        Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize workloads in order to meet deadlines and work flow; ability to work without management

          direction; use initiative and possess a positive attitude toward teamwork.

·        Solid foundation of the full range of accounting operations, compliance reporting; extensive knowledge of finance, accounting,

          budgeting and cost principles. 

·        Extensive audit experience.

·        Highly ethical in all actions and reporting, maintaining a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality.

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.

·        Demonstrated success in leading a small team to achieve goals; proven capability to train and coach.

·        Develop and implement procedures and work flow systems.

Engineering Support Specialist - Hillman

Northern Michigan manufacturer seeks an experienced individual to support our Tool Room department. An associate degree in CAD with CAM experience is preferred. Job functions include but are not limited to:  Produce an NC Program by taking a 3-D drawing, run it through Bob Cam Program and then incorporate it into the CNC; Make CAD drawings of tooling and dies; Interpret the blueprint of a part and do a die layout to produce that part; Able to help train others on the CNC machine. Must be able to work effectively on a team, have a good work ethic, and have the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers. Knowledge of KeyCreator and experience in an office environment is desired.

Training is provided, and candidates must have great attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation-dexterity, to handle small metal filters. Work involves machinery to cut, form, weld and/or solder filters. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, and be able to successfully complete paperwork. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and pass a drug screen.



Production Employees - Kalkaska (apply online)
Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. in Kalkaska, MI is accepting applications for production operators for both first and second shifts. Training is provided, and candidates must have great attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation-dexterity, to handle small metal filters. Work involves machinery to cut, form, weld and/or solder filters. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, and work under magnifying glasses or microscopes. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment, pass a vision test and drug screen, and be tobacco free.




Tool & Die Maker - Kalkaska
Northern Michigan manufacturer seeks an experienced Toolmaker to join our manufacturing facility. Requirements:

  • Must be experienced with die design, construction and maintenance. Additional experience in machine build, fixture design and build, and work holding devices is preferred.
  • CNC programming along with industrial welding skills also highly desired.
  • Ideal candidate will have a solid employment history with excellent team member skills, great work ethic and desire to succeed.

Manufacturer of filter products has an opening for a person to perform industrial maintenance.  Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, along with knowledge of machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and press operations.  Must have ability to diagnose and repair machinery problems, perform preventative maintenance, along with some facility maintenance.  P.L.C. knowledge / experience desired.  Ability to read, blueprints, specifications and manuals required.  Must be able/willing to work either first or second shift.  Excellent benefit package after 90 days.
